This app caught me by surprise with it’s foul language and graphic detailed words. Blaze · Make your own choices is definitely made for a more mature audience. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this app to children remote from puberty.
Blaze · Make your own choices is creative and innovative in it’s story building method. The experience will give you the power to be the reader and the author all at the same time. Even still, my high expectations of this app let me down.
When I first installed Blaze · Make your own choices I already had a vision in my mind of this apps potential entertaining power. I was set on seeing what kinds of characters and background images would appear. But when I opened the app it was the exact opposite.
No pictures, No characters, just words. If you have a great imagination or like to read books then Blaze · Make your own choices will be a great app for you. Personally I don’t mind reading but, I’m not a fan of it either.
Surprisingly Blaze · Make your own choices did keep me entertained long enough to test out the two different styles of gameplay offered inside the application. Once you have successfully downloaded Blaze · Make your own choices you will have the option of arcade or adventure mode. Adventure Mode was my favorite if you keep reading I will explain to you exactly why I prefer adventure mode over Arcade Mode.
Arcade Mode gives you a set scenario and your choices will dictate whether you can advance to the next level or not. To me this style of play limits your freedom of choice giving the ultimatum of choosing the choice the app thinks is best for that particular scenario. Arcade Mode in Blaze · Make your own choices takes away the creativity away to some degree making the experience less personal.
Now on the other hand, Adventure Mode allows you to create the story as you read it. Let me explain, see in adventure mode no matter what choices you make you can still advance to the next chapter. Adventure Mode is complimentary to Blaze · Make your own choices and I recommend you try this out before trying Arcade Mode to give you a balance digest of the app.
As far as gameplay goes there’s really no kind of instruction manual or directions which through me off for a second. I quickly discovered that the app uses a tap to play method. Basically you just keep tapping the screen as you read and every tap will provide you with another line of text.
All in All, I liked the app and encourage you to download it and try it out for yourself. My professionalism wouldn’t allow me to rate this a 5 out of 5 but, I do believe that this app is unique in it’s approach. If you are the type of person that falls asleep while reading I believe Blaze · Make your own choices will be perfect for you because, with this app you will be creating the story you read as you read it keeping your mind fully engaged in the plot.
